What can I say?

I have wanted to post something here for the past couple of weeks, but honestly did not really know what to say. To be honest, my life has gotten into a bit of a routine and there really arent too many interesting things to say about that. I suppose I could tell you that I am in the midst of applying to Doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology. I suppose I could tell you that I am looking forward to the 2006 NFl draft.
But at the end of the day, I doubt these thigns would interest you.

I suppose I could comment on the Alito confirmation, but what can I say? It was an extrememly partisan vote. All the Republicans except one voted for him and a handful of democrats did.

What I will say is this. The state of the Union address unoffcially kicks off the 2006 campaign season. What happens in the midterm election could possibly be foreshadowing for what happens in 2008. It should be an exciting few months in politcs but it will also mean a lot of grandstanding. There will be a lot of gridlock in DC as the Dems will not want to work with the republicans this year. This is an election year and this is the time to start talking big and start talking why the other side is "evil". Persoanlly I enjoy politics but I also find it amusing when people get really involved in it. It is very funny to watch people sit on the sidelines for about 3.75 years and then come guns blazing in August of an election year. These are typcially people who allow the media to lead them by the nose and do not really think about the issues. There are people like this on both sides of the political spectrum. It is one reason, among many that I believe we need to reform voting laws, but that is another topic alltogether...
